Wage Slave Rebellion is available NOW!

December 14, 2014

My debut novel, Wage Slave Rebellion, is officially available! You can buy it now as a DRM-free ebook from Amazon for $3.99. I’m also working on Smashwords ebook and CreateSpace print-on-demand versions, which should be available within the next few weeks.

I’m so excited about this book, and excited for you all to be able to read it. For those who missed it, here’s the elevator speech:

Wage Slave Rebellion is an urban fantasy-adventure set in a sword & sorcery world. It’s about three friends who hate their crappy jobs, so they decide to become monster-slaying adventurers instead. It’s kind of like Terry Pratchett spliced with a badass action anime.

And this is from Wage Slave Rebellion’s Amazon sales page:

In a world full of magick, monsters, and gods that meddle in the lives of men, Mazik Kil’Raeus is stuck in a soulless, dead-end job as a door-to-door salesman. Along with his friends, Gavi Ven’Kalil (waiter/bouncer at a local bar) and Raedren Ian’Moro (apprentice healer at a regeneration clinic … it’s not as glamorous as it sounds), Mazik is not happy with the way his life is going.

They’ve had enough. Frustrated with boring work, selfish bosses, and wasting their lives for meager pay, the three friends decide to do something crazy—they’re going to become monster-slaying adventurers! But it won’t be easy. With a consortium of powerful guilds determined to keep them out, Mazik and his friends have to wow everyone to have a chance. That’s when they set their eyes on a difficult quest: stopping a group of kidnappers who have been terrorizing their city for months.

But when the kidnappers turn out to be more dangerous than anyone anticipated, it turns into a struggle not only to win, but to survive! That’s an adventure the three friends relish, for it’s better to risk uncertainty and death now, than to accept mediocrity and die without ever having lived.

Wage Slave Rebellion combines the lightness and humor of Terry Pratchett, the fantasy adventure of The Hobbit, and the pulse-pounding combat of a badass action anime. It’s medieval sword & sorcery meets modern urban fantasy in a tale of refusing to accept limits, personal growth, and living life to the fullest, no matter what anyone else has to say!

If you want to know more about the book, read my release post over at Random Curiosity. If you’re on the fence, I’ve made the prologue available to give you a taste of my writing style. It can be found both on the RandomC post, on the book’s Amazon sales page, and on my website.

At the same time, I’m also releasing a sequel short story for FREE on my website (though tips are appreciated … more information here). It’s called Action Politics, and it’s available now. Note: Action Politics is a direct sequel to Wage Slave Rebellion, so make sure to read the book first, otherwise you’ll spoil yourself.

I don’t know what else to say that I haven’t said somewhere else. I’m incredibly excited to let you all read the story I’ve been working on for so long, and also incredibly nervous. This is the culmination of a great deal of work, and it’s really scary to put it out there, but I want to know what you all think, and I want you to enjoy it.

If you end up picking up a copy, please consider leaving a review on the book’s Amazon page, to help future readers decide whether they should buy it. And if you end up liking it, please tell your friends, family, coworkers, classmates, acquaintances, enemies, and any strangers who look like they might enjoy it.

Thank you so much. Wage Slave Rebellionavailable for $3.99 today. I hope you enjoy it.

As always, thank you for using my Amazon Affiliate link (info).
